Kelli Pearson

My name: Kelli Pearson

My hometown: Englewood, New Jersey

My high school: Garfield High School Garfield, NJ

My Major: *was Architecture but now Civil Engineer*

My hobbies/interests: sports especially tennis, puzzles, tv, movies, hanging with friends, having a good time, laughing, working out (trying to)

My favorite movie: Dream Girls

Why I came to NJIT: I came to NJIT because it had the best Architecture program in New Jersey and I wanted to stay in state and be close to the city if I ever wanted to get away.

Clubs, groups I belong to: Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, Murray Center Women Ambassador Program, and N.O.M.A.S. (National Organization of Minority Architecture Students)

What I love most about NJIT: It’s easily accessible to NJTransit and other public transportation and NJIT gives out a lot of free stuff

My advice to you as a first year student: Don’t feel as if you are limited to resources given to you. Go out and explore all the other opportunities that are out there and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
