Summer Employment Opportunity for Undergraduate, or Graduate Students

This is a paid Internship with a National Science Foundation Project

Middlesex County College, with funding from the National Science Foundation, is offering paid internships and is seeking either undergraduate or graduate students for a one-month summer opportunity as a Technical Counselor at the Edison campus. Individual must be energetic and enthusiastic about the material and be interested in working with high school students. The candidate will serve as a role model as a technical counselor and will provide supervision for teen girls at a summer enrichment camp. Individual must be committed to bringing young women into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Experience in the following areas preferred but not required:

• AutoCAD and hand sketching

• Electronic components and controls

• Project design, project management, construction techniques, safety, trouble shooting and repair

• Measurement techniques, data collection and analysis July, 2008: M-F / 6 hour day
