The Murray Center provides resources and support structures that help NJIT’s women graduate students succeed, in their academic careers and, ultimately, in the workplace.
In collaboration with NJIT ADVANCE, the Office of Graduate Studies, the Graduate Student Association, and the Office of the Provost, the Murray Center invites women graduate students to attend a series of special workshops that…
Through the Murray Center’s programming and NJIT’s Open Partnership initiative, women graduate students learn what it takes to establish themselves both inside and outside of the classroom. They have the opportunity to participate in a peer network, to interact with faculty and administrators from departments across the university, and to make valuable contacts with highly-placed researchers in industry and government.
The Murray Center also sponsors access to MentorNet, an award-winning national e-mentoring network. Through MentorNet, women graduate students can develop valuable one-on-one, email-based mentoring relationships with successful professionals in industry and academia in a variety of fields, across the country. Through the MentorNet Community, women graduate students can also connect to peers in engineering and science from around the world.
